2678 - Moisture
Reflection - This false positive was created by taking a photo after
a recent rain. The humidity and moisture in the air give off the
effect of a reflection, convincing many they have captured authentic
orbs. If you look closely, there tends to be faces in the
reflections caught on the right of the photo. Most face found in orb
photos are actually shades and lights of the reflection itself and
the texture of the object behind them.
2679 - Main Stream
Smoke - This false positive was created using main stream smoke from
a cigarette. You will capture these dominant image effects while
using flash in the dark if smoke is present. This image appears to
have two dancing ectoplasmic entities which in reality were nothing
more than what we have stated.
2683 - Hair & Reflection - This
false positive was created using a single strand of hair hanging in
front of the lens from a distance. We are not only capturing the
hair itself, but a light reflection of it as well. After closer
review, there seems to also be small round objects in the hair
creating the look of orbs in motion on a trail. But we assure you,
this is nothing more than a hair and reflection.
2687 - Hair in Motion - This
false positive was also created using a single strand of hair.
Although in this photo, the hair was close to the lens and in motion
giving the effect of a translucent end.
2693 - Reflection of Snow -
This false positive was created while taking a photo in a light snow
shower. These images were nothing more than reflections from near
and far of snowflakes. The image was captures using flash in the
snow fall.
2696 - Object in View -This
false positive was created by placing an object close to the lens of
the camera during capture.
2697 - Object Matrixing -This
false positive is an example of object matrixing. Instead of
recognizing patterns within the pixels of a photograph, we tend to
find images within objects in the photo by recognizing shadows and
light. This image is of a door on a abandoned shed which can
convince many there is a face of a person instead.
2698 - Dust & Reflection - This
false positive is created by stirring dust and capturing a
photograph. The orb-like images are mere dull reflections cause by
the texture of the dust itself. Note the many shapes, colors and
sizes.
2702 - Smoke Matrixing - This
false positive is created using exhaled smoke from a cigarette.
Located in the center of this photo looks to be the face of a male
with a moustache wearing a hat. This is nothing more than exhaled
smoke.
2705 - Red Orb - This false
positive is nothing more than a finger tip overlapping the edge of
the lens. This is common during investigations.
2708 - Glowing Fog - Many
stories include fog that appears in the photo then disappears as
fast as it came. This false positive was created using reflecting
light from a flash light onto the ground during the capture. There
was no fog present. This is not fog at all, merely light.
2709 - Flash Light Orbs - This
false positive was created by placing the beam of the flashlight
onto the wall surface. This appears to luminate but is nothing more
than a flash light effect.
2711 - Moving Light Object -
This false positive was created by placing a lit object in motion
before the camera during capture. This is not an anomaly of any
sort.
2715 - Light Reflection - This
false positive was created by directing the camera toward a
reflective surface. In this case we utilized a mirror to create the
effect. We must remind ourselves that reflective surfaces can vary
from objects in the grass, water - in any form, any bright, shiny
surfaces can create this effect.
2727 - Window Apparitions -
This false positive was created by taking a photograph through a
window. With body oils and other impressions left on a window, these
images are often left convincing many that an entity image is
present. It is crucial for investigators to evaluate the windows for
these impressions before and after an image is captured.
2739 - Motion Blur - This false
positive is appearing to display a ghostly image of a man. This
photo is nothing more than a motion blur captured when taking a
photo of a moving object or movement of the camera during capture.
2743 - Side Smoke - This false
positive is created by a member or individual standing beside the
photographer taking the shot. Of course he is not visible, but his
cigarette smoke is captured leaving the false effect of manifesting
fog/ectoplasm.
2744 - Main Stream & Exhaled
Smoke - This false positive is created using two sources of smoke.
The individual next to me is not only allowing mainstream smoke to
invade the shot but also he is exhaling as well. Allowing both
sources of smoke to become the image of one "ectoplasmic" photo.
2745 - Distance Smoke - This
false positive is created using only smoke from a
cigarette in the distance. Giving the effect of dominant definitions, this is
nothing more than strong, unaltered layers of smoke.
2750 - Breathe Shot - This
false positive is a common capture on investigations performed in
cold weather. Usually found near a member or individual placed in
cold areas. This photo is nothing more than warm breathe.
2751 - Motion Blur w/Light -
This false positive was created by moving the camera in circles
while photographing luminated lights in the background. Usually when
you have multiple glowing strings in a photograph, it was caused by
the same action as here. Motion.
2752 - Luminance Motion Blur -
This false positive was created by capturing an image of a single
luminated object while the camera is in motion. Whether it be a
flashlight, a reflection, or a streetlight in the background. This
false positive is common in night photographs.
2754 - Colored Light Streaks -
This false positive was a motion shot of street lights creating the
streaking effect. The color of the light streaks are determined by
the type of light bulbs used and/or the wattage of these bulbs may
play in effect as well. This image was using flash.
2755 - Glowing Light Streaks -
This false positive was created by using motion while capturing a
light without using flash, the lack of flash used in this photo
caused the camera to use auto-adjustment giving a bright yellow
luminance that was not present at the time of capture. The glow in
this photo was create by fast movement alone.
2757 - Light Streak w/ Fog Glow
- This false positive was captured by taking a photo of a light
source UP CLOSE and in motion by shaking the camera at a fast pace
which allows the captured photo to appear as though it is luminating
the entire streak from within itself. The glow in this photo was
intensified using the effect of present fog.
2758 - Fog Apparitions - This
false positive was created by taking a photograph of fog up close
using auto-adjustment and no flash.
2761 - Distant Fog - This false
positive was created by photographing fog from a distance which
makes the fog appear as though it is closer than it really is. Could
also makes the fog appear as a layered apparition in the distance.
2762 - False Fire Effect - This
false positive was created by taking a photo from a distance of a
residence in which there were light sources projected from a window.
The motion in this shot makes the photo appear as though there is
fire located outside the residence that was not detected at the time
of capture. Auto-adjustment, distance and lack of flash use can
create this effect.
